Thornapple Kellogg Trojans Blows Away Portland by ten Runs
 

Thornapple Kellogg easily dispatched Portland 11-1 on Thursday.  TK got things started in the first inning when Rachel Shoemaker doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

The Trojans put up four runs in the third inning.  Trojan batters contributing to the big inning included Kylee Hoebeke, Ellie Vandefifer, and Brittney Roodvoets, all driving in runs in the frame.

Hoebeke led Thornapple Kellogg to victory in the pitcher's circle. The righthander lasted six innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out 14.

TK collected 11 hits.  Hoebeke, Sophie Haveman, Ella Palazzolo, and Grace Zube each racked up multiple hits for the Trojans. Hoebeke went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Thornapple Kellogg in hits.  TK didn't commit a single error in the field. Haveman had the most chances in the field with 14.
