Game 1: 

Thornapple Kellogg Trojans  Defeat West Ottawa Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning

West Ottawa scored three runs in the seventh inning, but Thornapple Kellogg Trojans  still won 12-5 on Saturday.  West Ottawa scored its runs on a error by #4.

Thornapple Kellogg Trojans  got on the board in the first inning when an error scored two runs for Thornapple Kellogg Trojans.

Thornapple Kellogg Trojans  scored three runs in the fifth inning.  The rally was led by a sacrifice fly by Mo Sprague and a double by Paige VanStee.

Maleah Bailey earned the win for Thornapple Kellogg Trojans . The righthander allowed three hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out six.

Thornapple Kellogg Trojans  weathered a push by West Ottawa in the fifth inning where Thornapple Kellogg Trojans  coughed up three runs, but Thornapple Kellogg Trojans  still won 19-5 on Saturday.  West Ottawa batters contributing to the big inning included #29 and #3, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Thornapple Kellogg Trojans  secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the fifth inning.  Thornapple Kellogg Trojans  put the pressure on, lead by singles by Grace Zube and Mo Sprague, an error on a ball put in play by Maleah Bailey and Natalie O’Riley, doubles by Sophie Haveman and Paige VanStee, and a walk by Paris Viviano.
