Thornapple Kellogg Trojans Beats Kenowa Hills by Six Runs

Thornapple Kellogg easily did away with Kenowa Hills 7-1 on Tuesday

Maleah Bailey pitched Thornapple Kellogg Trojans Varsity to victory. The righthander went seven innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out 15 and walking one.

Sam Downing took the loss for Kenowa Hills. The bulldog went six innings, allowing seven runs on 11 hits and striking out four.

Thornapple Kellogg Trojans tallied 11 hits.  Sophie Haveman, Mo Sprague, and Paige VanStee all managed multiple hits for Thornapple Kellogg Trojans .  Sprague and Haveman each managed three hits to lead Thornapple Kellogg Trojans. The Trojans  didn't commit a single error in the field. Sprague had the most chances in the field with 15.

Kenowa Hills was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Downing made the most plays with  five.

Paige VanStee Drives in Four to Seal Thornapple Kellogg Trojans Victory Over Kenowa Hills

Paige VanStee wasted no opportunities at the plate on Tuesday, driving in four on two hits to lead TK past Kenowa Hills 16-1 on Tuesday.  VanStee drove in runs on a single in the first and a triple in the fourth.

The Trojans secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the fourth inning.  The rally was led by walks by Maleah Bailey and Elaina O’Riley, singles by Sophie Haveman and Carly Snyder, an error on a ball put in play by Mo Sprague and Sprague, a triple by VanStee, and  by Natalie O’Riley.

TK got things started in the first inning when VanStee singled on a 3-0 count, scoring one run.

Thornapple Kellogg tallied ten runs in the fourth inning.  Trojan offense in the inning was led by Sprague, E. O’Riley, Haveman, Bailey, N. O’Riley, and  VanStee, who all drove in runs.

VanStee led the Trojans to victory in the circle. The pitcher went four innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out two.

Sam Downing took the loss for Kenowa Hills. The pitcher went four innings, allowing 16 runs on six hits and striking out three.

Thornapple Kellogg Trojans tallied six hits.  Haveman and VanStee each collected multiple hits for TK.  VanStee and Haveman each collected two hits to lead the Trojans.  E. O’Riley led Thornapple Kellogg with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases.
