The Trojans notched their first victory of the season Thursday night in game two of the double header with Cedar Springs. In game 1 Thornapple Kellogg Varsity Trojans fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 3-0 loss to Cedar Springs Varsity Redhawks.  The pitching was strong on both sides. Cedar Springs Varsity Redhawks pitchers struck out 11, while Thornapple Kellogg Varsity Trojans sat down three. A single by Gavin Snelling in the fourth inning was a positive for Thornapple Kellogg Varsity Trojans. Logan Snelling took the loss for Thornapple Kellogg Varsity Trojans. The pitcher went six innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking one.

In game 2 Carsen Burbridge didn't allow a single run against Cedar Springs Varsity Redhawks, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Thornapple Kellogg Varsity Trojans to a 1-0 victory. The pitching was strong on both sides. Burbridge struck out eight, while Walker Glyshaw sat down eight. Burbridge went seven innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out eight. Logan Snelling led Thornapple Kellogg Varsity Trojans with two hits in three at bats.  Thornapple Kellogg Varsity Trojans didn't commit a single error in the field. Snelling had the most chances in the field with eight.
