Mo Sprague Drives in Four to Seal Thornapple Kellogg's Victory Over Forest Hills Eastern

Mo Sprague was clutch at the plate with runners on base on Monday, driving in four on three hits to lead Thornapple Kellogg past Forest Hills Eastern 12-1 on Monday.  Sprague drove in runs on a single in the first, a double in the third, and a double in the fourth.

The Trojans  got on the board in the first inning.  Paige VanStee singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

TK notched five runs in the fourth inning.  Sprague, Carly Snyder, and Ebbie Appel each had RBIs in the big inning.

Maleah Bailey earned the victory on the rubber for Thornapple Kellogg. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run over five innings, striking out nine.

Zaskowski took the loss for Forest Hills Eastern. The bulldog allowed ten hits and 12 runs over five innings, striking out three.

The Trojans  tallied one home run on the day. Snyder went yard in the fourth inning.

Thornapple Kellogg collected ten hits on the day.  Sprague, VanStee, and Snyder each racked up multiple hits for the Trojans .  Sprague went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead TK in hits.  Thornapple Kellogg tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Natalie O’Riley led the way with three.

VanStee Collects Four Hits as the Thornapple Kellogg Trojans  Defeat Forest Hills Eastern

Four hits from Paige VanStee helped lead the way for the Thornapple Kellogg Trojans over Forest Hills Eastern 17-7 on Monday.  VanStee singled in the first, doubled in the second, tripled in the third, and singled in the fourth.

Bats blistered as Thornapple Kellogg collected 19 hits and Forest Hills Eastern tallied ten in the high-scoring game.

In the first inning, Forest Hills Eastern got their offense started.  Zaskowski drove in one when she singled.

TK pulled away for good with nine runs in the third inning.  In the third an error scored one run for the Trojans , Elaina O’Riley drew a walk, scoring one run, VanStee tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, Carly Snyder singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs, Maleah Bailey singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Kate Caldwell drew a walk, scoring one run, and Zaskowski threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Thornapple Kellogg.

Forest Hills Eastern scored three runs in the second inning.  Forest Hills Eastern offense in the inning was led by Tabin, Kodie, and Delaney, who all drove in runs.

Bailey was the winning pitcher for Thornapple Kellogg. The righty surrendered one run on five hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Kodie took the loss for Forest Hills Eastern. The bulldog went two and two-thirds innings, allowing 12 runs on 12 hits and striking out one.

 Peyton Stahl started the game for the TK Trojans . The righthander allowed five hits and six runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two

Thornapple Kellogg racked up 19 hits.  VanStee, Mo Sprague, Emily Offringa, Snyder, Bailey, Grace Zube, and O’Riley each had multiple hits for the Trojans .  Sprague and VanStee each collected four hits to lead Thornapple Kellogg.  TK stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Offringa led the way with two.

Forest Hills Eastern tallied ten hits.  Kodie, Brown, and Zaskowski each managed multiple hits for Forest Hills Eastern.  Kodie went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Forest Hills Eastern in hits.
