The TK Varsity Volleyball team defeated Ottawa Hills in their first round district game at TK last night 25-8, 25-9, 25-9. It was great to see the girls do what they were supposed to do. We made 90% of our serves last night, this was huge for our team, we have struggled serving all season. We were moving and passing the ball really well last night also. We need to carry that confidence, mentality, and strength into the next match. Julia Curtis led the team with 7 aces and Claudia Wilkinson added 6 aces and 7 kills. Ellie Shoobridge also had 7 kills and Claudia Lems had 11 assists.
TK will face East Kentwood in round 2 of the district Thursday night at East Grand Rapids High School at 5:30.
